Henry studied Zoology and Ecology at James Cook University before joining the lab in 2019. His interest in birds, and their conservation, has led to an Honours and proposed PhD on the Carpentarian Grasswren.
During his Honours project, Henry applied species distribution modelling to improve the poor understanding of the species potential distribution and investigate spatio-temporal shifts in habitat in response to fire.
Henry intends to continue research of Carpentarian Grasswren to understand the species’ relationship with fire, a key threatening process, to inform conservation management programs.
